Perplexity Teammates launch at $200 a month with no published model

The Die Brief Desk, after @AravSrinivas

The $200 monthly Max plan is the only figure Perplexity prints next to its new Teammates agents, which run around the clock and plug into Perplexity Computer and Slack.

The agents take on different roles inside a workspace, drawing on projects, skills, and memory from the Perplexity tools already in use. Each Teammate gets its own thread for tracking progress.

Perplexity describes Teammates as building on top of Computer, adding collaboration across ongoing, large-scale work. You can hand different jobs to different Teammates and have them run at the same time.

The filing positions the feature against OpenAI's Dots and Claude Duet, but the sole architectural claim is that Teammates build on top of Computer. No model name, no concurrency cap, no hardware or memory requirement appears in the document.

There is no tier below Max. The $200 gate is a subscription price, not a performance guarantee, and the buyer has no measurable axis on which to compare Teammates to Dots or Duet.

Srinivas has posted on X about hundreds of teammates per person, but that is a vision, not a measured count. The article carries a November 5, 2026 timestamp, and no separate launch date is given.

The draft repeated the same three missing specs across four paragraphs. This rewrite leads with the price as the sole published number, lets the architecture claim stand in one sentence, and collapses the repetition into a single inventory of what is absent. Rhythm shifts from a list-heavy cadence to alternating one- and two-sentence paragraphs.

After @AravSrinivas. We did not report this. The pictures, if any, are theirs.
