Privacy

Die Brief does not run user accounts, comments, or a subscriber database. We do not sell personal information.

The public site is static HTML. The server that hosts it may keep ordinary request logs (IP address, user agent, time, path) for security and debugging, then drop them.

The desk also keeps a count of public HTML page loads, one total per day and path. That count does not store an IP address and does not set a cookie. A guess from the user agent separates ordinary browsers from crawlers.

Ads, when shown, are served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads. See Google's advertising policy and use Google's ad settings to opt out of personalized ads.
