Samsung 8LPU+ ties to a rumored Switch 2 Lite
A rumored Switch 2 Lite could use Samsung's 8LPU+ process, which the company says cuts power by 15% over 8LPU.

The current Switch 2 runs on NVIDIA's T239, built on Samsung's 8nm-class node. The chip has eight Cortex-A78C cores and 1,536 CUDA cores, with a die of about 207 mm².
Samsung says 8LPU+ offers 12% more performance, 15% less power, and an 8% smaller logic area than 8LPU. The company will show the process at IEEE IEDM on December 14.

Nintendo Patents Watch suggested NVIDIA could adapt the T239 to the improved node for a cheaper handheld. A trimmed GPU core count could lower manufacturing costs.
Nintendo has not confirmed a Switch 2 Lite, and no verified link exists between 8LPU+ and Nintendo hardware. The figures describe Samsung's process, not a console spec.
The 8LPU+ figures are foundry claims, not console specs. Nintendo has not confirmed a Switch 2 Lite or a link to the process.
