24 percent IPC gain in leaked Zen 6c EPYC single-threaded test

The Die Brief Desk, after snl.no

Early single-threaded tests on a leaked 256-core Zen 6c EPYC sample show a 24 percent IPC gain over Zen 5, per Tom's Hardware.

The headline says the part "destroys Zen 5." The deeper page only supports a measured gain.

The 24 percent figure is the only measurement in the packet. The word destroys is a label.

A single-threaded IPC gain points to a per-core architecture change. It does not settle the server question.

No page named the benchmark suite, exact scores, process node, TDP, SKU, or release date.

The 256-core count and the IPC gain are both leak figures. Neither proves power, memory, or ship timing.

The fab question remains open: whether the core count can be paired with a usable thermal and packaging envelope.

The desk trusts the Tom's Hardware leak report. The deciding number is 24 percent.

The 24 percent IPC gain is the only measured delta, and it points to a per-core architecture change. The missing benchmark suite, exact scores, process node, TDP, SKU, and ship date keep the claim in the leak lane.

After snl.no. We did not report this. The pictures, if any, are theirs.
