Zen6 CCD estimate steps above the old die-size band
The estimate pushes the Zen6 CCD outside the prior die-size band, with 12 cores, 48 MB of L3, TSMC N2, and about 76 mm2.
| Zen4 CCD | Zen5 CCD | Zen6 CCD | |
|---|---|---|---|
| cores | 8 Core | 8 Core | 12 Core |
| L3 cache | 32MB L3 | 32MB L3 | 48MB L3 |
| process | TSMC N5 | TSMC N4 | TSMC N2 |
| die size | ~72 mm2 | ~71 mm2 | ~76 mm2 |
The prior entries sit at about 72 mm2 for Zen4 and about 71 mm2 for Zen5. The Zen6 estimate lands at about 76 mm2, a few millimeters larger than that band.
The change is density, not a performance claim. The table adds four cores and 16 MB of L3 while keeping the die near the earlier size.
No picture, TDP, clock, yield, or package layout accompanies the post. The 76 mm2 figure remains an estimate until AMD or TSMC publishes a die shot or a power figure.
The useful constraint is area. The buyer cannot price the gain yet because the note leaves out power, clock, yield, and package behavior.
Treat the 76 mm2 figure as a density estimate, not a confirmed production spec.
