IPhone 18e adds A20 chip, holds 60Hz display
The A20 chip is the main change in the iPhone 18e filing. It is expected to use a 2nm process, matching the standard iPhone 18, while the 6.12-inch LTPS display stays at 60Hz.

| iPhone 18e | |
|---|---|
| display size | 6.12-inch |
| display tech | LTPS OLED |
| refresh rate | 60Hz |
| chip | A20 |
| rear camera | 48MP |
| front camera | 24MP possible |
| process | 2nm expected |
| launch | spring 2027 |
The 60Hz rate does not mean the panel is LTPO or can hit 120Hz. It matches the refresh rate of the iPhone 16e and 17e.
The rear camera holds at a single 48MP unit. No sensor or lens details are given, leaving room for smaller hardware shifts.
The front camera is the weakest number. A 24MP figure could be a new sensor, a carryover from the 18MP Center Stage rumor, or a typo. Either way, it would be an upgrade over the 12MP front camera in the 16e and 17e.
The filing gives no clock, power, or price for the A20. It also does not measure the front camera sensor size, lens, or autofocus.
The iPhone 18e is slated for a spring 2027 launch, appearing alongside the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2.
The A20 chip is the only real change. The display and rear camera are carryovers. The 24MP front camera is uncertain.
After @gregjoz. We did not report this. The pictures, if any, are theirs.
