HomePod mini 2 defers Siri AI to a later update
Sound Glow comes with the HomePod mini 2, but Siri AI does not.

Pre-orders open at $149 for an October 30 launch.
The S10 chip replaces the S5, and the speaker adds Sound Glow.
The assistant is not active at launch. Apple says it arrives in a future software update.
That leaves the buyer with a priced speaker whose headline feature may wait.
The four-speaker surround claim with Apple TV 4K is a system promise, not a measured output from the HomePod mini 2.
The page leaves the S10 clock, power, acoustic output, and Sound Glow thermal behavior unmeasured.
The hardware is dated and priced, while the assistant is deferred.
