IPhone Air 2 rumor: a larger battery, not just a thinner slab
A Naver post by yeux1122 points to a larger battery in the iPhone Air 2, with the Air 2 at about 5.2 mm, thinner than the original Air's 5.6 mm.

| thickness | 5.2 mm |
| original Air thickness | 5.6 mm |
| battery type | high-density battery |
| expected unveiling | early 2027 |
The high-density battery from the Pro model is the claim in the post. The desk reads the constraint as the battery, not the frame. The post does not show that Apple has a cell, a chassis, or a thermal path that fits the figure.
A thinner slab with a larger battery forces a denser pack, a smaller board, or a lower-peak design, and the packet gives no measurement for any of those. No second source is in the packet.
Still unmeasured: actual battery capacity, cell chemistry, thermal behavior, camera stack, and whether the 5.2 mm figure includes frame, glass, or antenna band. The desk has not confirmed the spec with Apple.
Rumor only; no second source in the packet.
After apple.com. We did not report this. The pictures, if any, are theirs.
