Synology neo+ lists below Plus models with non-ECC memory
Synology's neo+ NAS units are listed about 200 euros below the matching Plus models, with 4 GB of non-ECC RAM in the fixed configuration.

The ComputerBase filing names DS725neo+, DS925neo+, DS1525neo+, and DS1825neo+ as the series entries. It says those units match the corresponding Plus hardware, functions, and expandability, with the UVP gap at about 200 euros. The DS725neo+ is shown at 549 euros netto against 748 euros netto for the DS725+.
Die Brief treats the 4 GB non-ECC setup as the ceiling, and the stated measurement lands exactly there. The buyer is the constrained side, giving up error correction for a lower entry price. The filing does not prove that non-ECC RAM changes data reliability, nor does it show a fab-side cost cut beyond the memory swap. A later ECC upgrade path remains an option, not a measured correction.
The filing omits measured error rates, throughput deltas, and verified consumer street prices for the neo+ units. Its table provides UVP and street starting points, but it does not connect those prices to a measured memory-cost delta. Those gaps leave the note open for correction.
The UVP gap is the strongest lead; the 4 GB non-ECC memory is the constraint, and the filing does not prove a reliability change or a fab-side cost cut.
