Logic Pro 13.0 gates the AI assistant behind a $12.99 monthly tier
The $199.99 perpetual license for Logic Pro 13.0 does not include the AI Intelligent Assistant. That module requires Apple Creator Studio at $12.99 per month or $129 per year, per the MacRumors filing of November 5, 2026.

| Logic Pro 13.0 | |
|---|---|
| perpetual price | $199.99 |
| Creator Studio monthly | $12.99 |
| Creator Studio annual | $129 |
| AI feature | AI Intelligent Assistant |
| subscription required for AI | yes |
The packet's primary document is a Form 10-Q filed April 23, 2009. It carries no Logic Pro SKU, no AI feature name, and no subscription price. The $12.99 and $129 figures appear only in the wire, not in any filing or Apple Newsroom page in the dossier.
The constraint sits on the buyer, not the fab. Apple is gating a software module behind a recurring charge, not a clock speed or a core count. The perpetual license is now a partial product.
The 10-Q shows R&D spend at $319 million for the quarter ended March 28, 2009. That line item does not break out Logic Pro development, so the cost basis for the AI assistant is unmeasured.
No document in the packet states whether the AI Intelligent Assistant runs on-device or calls a cloud endpoint. It does not name the model or say whether the $199.99 license receives the feature in a later update.
The story is a pricing-architecture fact from a single wire, cross-checked against a 2009 10-Q that contains no Logic Pro data. The gate is commercial, not silicon, and the technical mechanism of the assistant is unmeasured in the packet.
After @gregjoz. We did not report this. The pictures, if any, are theirs.
